One of Africa Finest Actor, Ghanaian Super star Actor John Dumelo was invited as a special guest and a co-host at Cornell University in New York for the University’s Annually Hold Programme, known as “Africa Week” celebration March 9th 2012.

During the Africa Week event, Super star, John Dumelo was a co-host for the fashion show where he had the opportunity to discuss about his career in acting as well as his upcoming fashion line.
This event presented itself with an opportunity for different people to learn about the John Dumelo foundation as well, the well-rounded actor and entrepreneur educated the audience about his goal for 2013 where he commits to a “30 African Nation outreach” for improving quality education in Africa, One African Country at a time, He stated.
Also the John Dumelo foundation planned to create a modern and user-friendly learning environment for the less privileged.

John Dumelo also comment on some of his foundation ongoing projects, which includes the construction of a $40,000 primary school block in the upper west region of Ghana and the renovation of selected primary and junior high schools in the west African country.

Coming to attend this programme was a very large diverse crowd, people from countries like Ghana, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Senegal, Rwanda and many others were very well represented.
It was an evening of having a one-on-one experience with the Charming and Handsome John Dumelo.
Camera Flashes and questions filled the hall, as everyone seemed very pleased with the humble actor.
John Dumelo said he felt very honored to be chosen and to share his time and also his acting experience and career with students and guest of one of the Ivy League schools in the United States, Which is currently ranked among the top universities in the world, the student body consists of nearly 14,000 undergraduate and 7,000 graduate students from all 50 states and 122 countries around the globe.

John Dumelo did closed the evening by leaving his audience with a food for thought he said:
“we need to be the change, we ought to see in ourselves, Let us Join hands and influence education in our nation, One Country at a time:”
Part of the Proceeds from the Africa Week goes to the John Dumelo foundation for enhancing education in Africa.
